A lovely river scene at Congresbury in Somerset. The weir or waterfall is off to the right just below the bridge.
Very good scene with a boat in the centre and three locals.
The title of the card is just visible, bottom left and took a bit of deciphering. It calls the scene The Weir but the only other photograph I have seen of this area, taken from the other side of the arched bridge was titled Congresbury Waterfall.
No details of any publisher and so it may have been privately produced.
It is unposted and undated but looking at the clothes of the ladies I would think it dates from around the time of WW1.
Very nice monochrome card in good condition.
Please note. I do my best to accurately photograph and describe the condition of the items for sale, including any minor defects but all pieces are vintage and have had previous lives and so may have minor flaws.
